On the 2nd of May Laura Kriefman performed a section of Kicking the Mic in the iconic BBC Radio Theatre.
The performance was part of a BBC staff Conference about the future of sound, called Sounds Amazing.
The line up was really mesmerising: With talks from BBC R&D, the Sound Editor and mixers from Blue Planet 2, BBC head of Arts, Head of Digital, Matthew Herbert from BBC Radiophonic Lab and many others.
Kicking the Mic was the only live performance.
Laura had been invited to perform Hellion Trace's piece because of it's unique relationship with live sound production, and visualisation (you know- that lovely LED Dress!)
The day was hosted by the fabulous LJ Rich.
LJ Saw a very, very early version of the Kicking The Mic system at Music tech Fest in Ulmea: What a difference a few years makes!

You are my muse!LJ Rich
Talk about raising the stakes! I know I'll do my first performance for the BBC in front of 400 of the most experienced broadcasters working in sound and live performance ! It's amazing to hear such heart-felt applause during a performance. I always come off stage and wonder about peoples reactions: so it was great to see footage being filmed and shared. Laura Kriefman
